| What is MyTherapySession.com? |
| MyTherapySession.com is a unique and innovative resource for emotional health
information, founded by Dr. Brent R. Coyle, a board-certified psychiatrist. Through the
use of various online assessments and psycho-educational learning modules, our mission
is to provide hope, help and education to individuals with various emotional health care
concerns, including suicide and other crisis situation, stress, depression, abuse, insomnia,
self-esteem and goal setting, anger, loss, guilt and shame, addictions, nicotine
dependence, diet and exercise, eating disorders, and more. The MyTherapySession.com online assessments include emotional health care assessments, as well as "prep tools" which allow the user to receive the most benefit of their primary care physician visit, therapy/counseling session, inpatient hospitalization, and more. (For a list of available assessments, click here.) The MyTherapySession video learning modules provide the viewer with the most comprehensive, systematic and standardized approaches to treatment, especially when viewed with a trusted partner, be it a therapist, counselor or mentor. Through video modules and the use of the free accompanying journals for each topic, our unique method of teaching appeals to all learning styles and provides the consumer with visual and auditory learning experiences, note-taking opportunities, repetition, breaks, discussion, and practice. These multi-modal learning tools ensure maximum understanding, comprehension, and retention of the material presented. Furthermore, for the individuals who require repeated concepts, the material can be repeated as often and as many times as necessary. (For a list of available topics, click here.) The MyTherapySession.com learning modules are available to the user for immediate access, when they need it, and at any time of their convenience, at their own pace, and for as many times as they choose. The learning modules are also designed to be completed virtually anywhere, and with relatively no travel time and/or expense required. The streaming video option offers immediate delivery and much flexibility; the programs are accessible anywhere there is a computer and internet connection available. In addition, if an individual has questions about the usefulness of the learning modules, they can start experimenting with the content in the streaming format, for minimal cost. With the DVD format, and the use of portable DVD players or laptop computers, the "where" and "when" to view the modules is endless. Other available delivery formats include computer downloads and iPod downloads, which allows the user to store the playable video files directly on their personal devices. Although MyTherapySession has ultimately been developed for direct use by the consumer with emotional health concerns, the program has also been developed to assist health care providers in making their jobs both easier and more effective. We offer a wide variety of intervention tools, as well as fresh approaches to the helping process, which can lead to new levels of accomplishment with the consumer seeking emotional health. By allowing MyTherapySession.com to deliver information about emotional health care to the client prior to (or during) their therapy session, the client will not only be more prepared and headed in the desired direction of treatment, but more time becomes available for the therapist to work through important intrapersonal issues relevant to the content and provide exceptional psychotherapy. |
