What is the "DocPrep" Appointment Preparation?

"DocPrep" is a tool for getting the most from your PRIMARY CARE provider initial and/or followup visit. It organizes your medical information to be most convenient for your doctor/provider and allows you to convey what you most want from your visit.

Visiting the doctor can be an anxiety-filled and even overwhelming experience. We all know that doctors are busy and are pressed for time. You need and want to get everything possible out of that short appointment. Your provider wants you to be satisfied, too, but they also need to make sure all the important medical and safety issues are covered. When so much has to be done in such a short amount of time, it is vital to be organized and have things in writing so that information is not overlooked or forgotten in the rush.

"DocPrep" covers all of the issues that will be of interest to your primary care provider and gives you the chance to carefully consider what you need and/or want, taking as much time as you need to think through those issues. For example, you will have the opportunity to review your medications ahead of time, so you understand exactly what each medication is for, what refills you need, what side effects you might be experiencing, etc. Additionally, you will be able to communicate any questions or concerns you might have for the doctor, etc. Again, this is all done ahead of time with the opportunity for your family to help you if you like, as well as taking as much time as you need in order to complete. There is even an opportunity for your family or other individuals to offer their own collateral history and observations, if you are okay with them doing so. This information is collected and then organized in the way that doctors typically prefer, which you can then deliver to them in printed form.

All these features, plus many more, are bridging the gaps between patient and physician. The "DocPrep" Appointment Preparation tool has the potential to make medicing better and more accurate... one patient at a time.
